DANA POINT
The City Council recently accepted the resignation of a planning commissioner and approved a replacement to serve the rest of his term.
The council voted 4 to 1, with Councilman Harold R. Kaufman dissenting, to appoint Gregory Orlandella to serve the three years left on outgoing commissioner Jeffrey Segall’s term. Orlandella was the city’s first alternate to the Planning Commission.
In a letter to the city, Segall said he resigned because his new job will place greater demands on his time.
