BREA
The City Council on Tuesday honored student and teacher delegates from Brea’s sister city, Hanno, Japan.
Mayor Bev Perry formally welcomed the 20 delegates with commendations from the city--written in Japanese--with the help of Brea Olinda High School teacher Massakio White.
The students will spend two more days absorbing the culture of north Orange County, staying with host families before heading home. On Monday, they took a day trip to Anaheim to visit Disneyland. Next month, Brea Olinda will be sending its own delegation of 20 students to Hanno. It will be the largest group the school has ever sent.
