FULLERTON
The City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to add parking spaces on San Carlos Drive along the perimeters of Chapman Park to ease traffic congestion and noise associated with weekend youth sports.
The park’s use has been the subject of an ongoing controversy between residents in the neighborhood and the East Fullerton Little League.
League officials said that they were not aware of the situation until recently, but will do what they can to address residents’ concerns.
The 44 perpendicular and 12 parking stalls will be painted next month, before the start of the league’s spring season.
