NEWPORT BEACH
The Planning Commission will review three of the city’s most controversial developments that are at the top of the hit list of Greenlight, the grass-roots group sponsoring the Protection From Traffic and Density Initiative: Conexant, Banning Ranch and the Dunes project.
The group of community activists and environmentalists hopes to pass their slow-growth initiative in time for the public to vote on these projects.
In the 5 p.m. study session, the commission will discuss the Conexant expansion and review the semiconductor business’ environmental report. The panel will also discuss the proposed Newport Banning Ranch development.
At the 7 p.m. meeting, the commission will continue reviewing the $100-million Dunes resort project environmental report.
