Volunteers Sought for Asthma Program
The American Lung Assn. is looking for Ventura County residents to volunteer for an education program to teach schoolchildren about asthma.
Open Airways for Schools consists of six 45-minute sessions at elementary schools throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
The volunteers will help children identify what causes an asthma attack, how to use medication appropriately, diagnose the severity of asthma symptoms and devise an emergency plan with parents and teachers.
