* BOISE STATE (6-8, 0-3 Big West) at UC IRVINE (8-6, 1-2), 7, KUCI-FM (88.9)--Irvine has already won two more games than last season and looked sharp through most of its 71-67 victory over Idaho Thursday. There were the usual Anteater standouts, as guard Jerry Green scored 22 points and forward Marek Ondera had nine points and nine rebounds. But guard Sean Jackson had his most consistent offensive game, with 16 points. Forward Ben Jones, starting for the first time, had nine points, five assists and four steals. The Broncos are winless, but lost to Pacific by one point and Cal State Fullerton by two points. Forward Abe Jackson averages 15 points to lead Boise State.
