LAGUNA HILLS
The 400 bus trips along Los Alisos Boulevard each day might be moved to a private street if the City Council decides to help with road repairs and maintenance at its meeting tonight.
Residents who live near Los Alisos Boulevard protested the new routes and bus stops last year because they said the noise, pollution and the volume of traffic have threatened their property values.
The routes were moved in September by the Orange County Transportation Authority from the private street Calle de la Plata after the street’s owner requested that the authority pay for repairs and maintenance.
City Manager Bruce Channing said discussions with the property owner led to the possible negotiation for the city.
The council will meet at 7 tonight in Council Chambers, 25201 Paseo de Alicia, Laguna Hills. (949) 707-2600
