Kaatz delivered in two crucial Sunset League victories last week. He scored 26 points in a 63-61 overtime victory
against Es
peranza. He had the game-winning assist to Beau Brown for an overtime
buzzer-beating layup and his three-pointer with six seconds remaining in regulation sent the game into overtime. In a 77-66 victory over No. 5 Los Alamitos, Kaatz scored 28 points, making 19 of 20 free throws.

Won the 127-pound class at the San Clemente Rotary meet last weekend, helping the Vaqueros win the team title.

The sophomore goalkeeper, who began the season as a defender, had 10 saves in a 2-0 victory over No. 8 Irvine.
Giuliana Mendiola
El Toro, Basketball
Orange County’s all-time leading scorer enjoyed a week to remember, even by her standards. She averaged 43 points and 11 rebounds in three victories, capping the week with a career-high 55-point performance in a 71-62 victory over No. 7 Foothill. It was the fifth-best single-game scoring performance in county history. Mendiola scored 39 points in the second half and her team’s final 19 points against the Knights.

On same day against Mission Viejo, scored a goal in the soccer team’s 2-0 victory and 30 points in a 72-43 basketball victory.

Goalkeeper posted her third and fourth consecutive league shutouts.
