LAPD Officers
* I decided it was time for a positive note concerning the Los Angeles Police Department. My son-in-law, Kirk Buchanan, is retiring from the LAPD after 29 1/2 years of service. He’s never gotten his name in the papers, he’s just done what hundreds of his peers have done. They have daily fulfilled the oath they took on graduation from the academy, “To protect and serve.”
Kirk is truly a role model to emulate. Too often the public is quick to tar the whole because of a few bad apples. I sometimes wonder what we’d do without the Kirk Buchanans of the LAPD.
