A Lancaster sheriff’s deputy charged with child molestation has told a court he’s innocent.

Douglas Mills, 33, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to two counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child younger than 14 and one count of making terrorist threats, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.

The eight-year Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department veteran was relieved of duty without pay as of Jan. 14, said Dep. Jim Hellmold, a spokesman.
