SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
The Planning Commission voted Tuesday to recommend to the City Council a limit of 1,100 residential building permits that may be issued for 2001-2003.
The commission will recommend 350, 350 and 400 permits for the three years, respectively. Staff analysis arrived at the recommended numbers after considering the residential developments that are scheduled to begin over the next three years.
The city’s land use code establishes that a limit of up 400 permits must be approved annually, a number that is rarely reached every year.
The council will consider the matter next month.
