SANTA ANA
The YMCA El Centro Club Program Center opened Wednesday in a new modular building at Willard Intermediate School. The center will provide after-school activities for students and early-intervention programs for at-risk students. The 1,800 students who attend Willard live in one of the poorest and highest crime-rated neighborhoods in Santa Ana. The center is equipped with computers, games, sports gear and a terrarium--all funded through donations to the YMCA.
