Two men were recovering Sunday after being shot outside a Van Nuys apartment building where they were attending a party, in what police say may have been a gang-related attack.

The men, whose names were not released, were shot in the 6300 block of Fulton Avenue about 10:15 p.m. Saturday, Los Angeles Police Sgt. Richard Thomas said.

One man, in his late 20s, was wounded in the chest and was in critical but stable condition Sunday at Northridge Hospital Medical Center, Thomas said. The second man, in his early 20s, was shot in the leg and was being treated at the hospital’s Sherman Way campus, Thomas said.

Police do not know how many people were involved in the shooting and have identified no suspects. Witnesses said they may have been gang members, Thomas said.
