Woman Drowns in Fullerton Pool
A 23-year-old visitor from Taiwan drowned Sunday morning while swimming alone in a friend’s pool in Fullerton, authorities said.
Yu Li Chang, who was staying with friends, told her hosts she was going to swim in the community pool of a housing tract in the 2700 block of Aubrey Place about 10 a.m., said Police Sgt. Neal Baldwin.
A neighbor found Chang at the bottom of the pool about 30 minutes later, Baldwin said.
The neighbor pulled Chang out of the pool and administered CPR until paramedics arrived.
Chang was pronounced dead upon arrival at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton.
Police said her death appears to have been an accident.
