Arleta Man Killed When His Car Hits Parked Big Rig

PANORAMA CITY — A 36-year-old Arleta man died early Monday when his car struck a parked big rig in Panorama City, officials said.
Alfredo Altamirano was driving a 1991 white Nissan Sentra in the 14100 block of Van Nuys Boulevard at 3:55 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle and slammed the rear of a parked tractor-trailer, said Los Angeles Valley Traffic Division officer Connie Silber.
Altamirano was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, where he later died, Silber said.
There were on other injuries.
