Of the $200-million in Measure M funds distributed to cities in Orange County, Villa Park has received $355,000 for street improvements. Measure M funds, the half-cent transportation sales tax approved by voters in 1990, are distributed to cities based on population, arterial highway miles and total taxable sales. Only the recently incorporated Laguna Woods has received less money, $161,000. Anaheim and Santa Ana have received the most, $21.3 million and $20 million, respectively.
