Mystics’ Holdsclaw Responds to Big House

Chamique Holdsclaw responded to the biggest announced crowd in the WNBA this season--19,093 at Washington--with 30 points, nine rebounds and eight steals Thursday in the Mystics’ 85-74 victory over Indiana.

Washington closed the game with a 15-2 run.

Holdsclaw shot 12 for 18 and helped the Mystics defense get 16 steals and force 22 turnovers.

Houston 74, Cleveland 56--Sheryl Swoopes had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Tina Thompson added 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Comets in their win before 12,294 at Cleveland.

Sacramento 73, Minnesota 56--Ruthie Bolton-Holifield scored 19 of her 23 points in the second half for the Monarchs, who won before 6,675 at Sacramento.
