Extreme at the Beach

The U.S. Open of Surfing teams up with the Beach Games this week to bring the top surfers, skateboarders, inline skaters and BMX riders to Huntington Beach Pier. Organizers built an alternative athlete’s wonderland from plywood and 2x4s on the sand. Some of the jaw-dropping moves on display at the extreme sports extravaganza:
