The San Diego Flash scored two second-half goals Friday and defeated the visiting Waves, 3-2, in an A-League soccer game.

It was the fourth consecutive road loss for the Waves, who led the Pacific Division three weeks ago but are now 13 points behind first-place San Diego (12-6-3).

The Waves (9-12-1) came into the game in seventh place in the Western Conference, one point ahead of Bay Area. The top eight teams in each conference qualify for the playoffs. Orange County is seven points ahead of ninth-place Vancouver. The Waves will host San Diego at Santa Ana Stadium at 5 p.m. Sunday.
