What’s happening the next few weeks:

* The performing arts series Santa Fe Stages runs June 9-Aug. 27 at Firestone Plaza, 100 N. Guadalupe St. Highlights include the world premiere of the musical theater piece “Guadalupe!” June 9-18; Ariel Dorfman’s political thriller, “Death and the Maiden,” directed by Tony Abatemarco, from July 21-Aug. 6; and the Parsons Dance Company, July 27-30. * The Santa Fe Opera season runs June 30-Aug. 26 and includes Verdi’s “Rigoletto,” Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro,” Rossini’s “Ermione,” Strauss’ “Elektra,” and the American premiere of Hans Werner Henze’s “Venus and Adonis.” At the Santa Fe Opera, about seven miles north of Santa Fe on Highway 84/285.
