The Dana Point Recreation Center plans to hold the official opening for its senior center Friday afternoon.
Mayor Ingrid McGuire will attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony, which will be followed by swing dancing with a disc jockey and demonstrations of art classes.
The 1,800-square-foot building at the east end of the recreation center adds two offices, an activity room and a lounge with a big-screen television to the recreation center. EMS Construction in Anaheim built the $350,000 addition.
The ceremony will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. at 34052 Del Obispo Road. Food and refreshments will be provided. Information: (949) 496-4251.
