HUNTINGTON BEACH
The Ocean View School District will present Nelly Castro with the Wave Maker Award at the district board meeting Tuesday night. The award honors outstanding service in support of the district’s educational programs. Castro began her career with Ocean View as an instructional aide and a noon duty supervisor at Marine View Middle School. Since 1996, she has been an instructional aide with bilingual duties at Westmont School. She has also been working for Project STAR, a support program for English learners, and as a noon duty supervisor.
