Car Backs Over Santa Ana Toddler
A young Santa Ana boy died Tuesday night after being run over by a car at his apartment complex.
Police said that Thomas Nieblas, 1 1/2, was playing in the carport at 825 N. Van Ness Ave. about 7 p.m. when a resident accidentally backed his car over the infant.
The boy was pronounced dead a short time later at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, police said.
No charges were filed in the matter, said Tony Harrelson, a spokesman for the Police Department.
