SAN CLEMENTE
The City Council has decided to allow skating and skateboarding in designated facilities.
A skate park is being built at Richard T. Steed Memorial Park. City code still forbids skating outside the park.
The council also named the 14,000-square-foot park Ralphs Skate Park, after Ralphs Grocery Stores, which donated $100,000 to the project.
The facility is expected to open in the fall. The park is at 247 Avenida la Pata.
