LOS ALAMITOS
Club Los Alamitos, a free drop-in program for children 5 to 14, opens Monday at various locations Aug. 17.
Sponsored by the Recreation and Community Services Department, the program is supervised by recreation leaders and features arts and crafts, sports, park games, barbecues and special events.
The program will operate from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily at Little Cottonwood Park, 400 Farquhar Ave.; Orville Lewis Jr. Park, 3662 Kempton Drive; and Jefferson Park, 10291 Bloomfield St. The program operates at the same hours on Tuesdays and Wednesday at Labourdette Park, 4401 Howard Ave., and Mondays and Wednesdays at Soroptimist Park, 10822 Pine St. Information: (562) 430-1073.
