Imperial Highway was closed Wednesday, and will continue scheduled road closures at night for widening work from Orangethorpe Avenue and Esperanza Road to Yorba Linda Boulevard. The closures will be in effect from 11 p.m. today to 5 a.m. Friday and on July 5, 6, 10, 11 and 12. The Kellogg Drive ramps to Imperial Highway will be closed at 10 p.m. Residents can use Lakeview Avenue as an alternate route.
The closures are meant to help engineers reconfigure traffic so they can start work on one side of the highway, said Asst. City Engineer Scott Walker of McLean & Schultz. Message boards will be posted at a later date to announce other closures, he said.
