By 1900, Buffalo Bill was perhaps the most recognized person on the planet. A new exhibit, “Buffalo Bill’s Wild West,” will make its American premiere Saturday at the Autry Museum of Western Heritage in Griffith Park. Produced by the Royal Armouries of Great Britain, it is an unprecedented collection of Buffalo Bill Cody items, including an original 1867 Deadwood stagecoach, Annie Oakley’s rifle, and a gold and diamond pendant given to Cody by Queen Victoria. The show will run through July 9.
