The Philadelphia Flyers left with a 3-0 victory and maybe a chance at Ray Bourque too.

Eric Lindros returned to the lineup with a goal and an assist on Saturday as the Flyers defeated the Boston Bruins, 3-0, at Boston in what might have been Bourque’s last game as a Bruin.

The Flyers are among the teams rumored to be bidding for the 18-time All-Star and five-time Norris Trophy winner.

“Who wouldn’t want him? He’s a world-class player,” said Flyer goalie Brian Boucher, who stopped 21 shots for his second shutout of the season. “If he’s interested in leaving, we’d love to have him.”

After spending his entire 21-year career with the Bruins without winning a Stanley Cup, Bourque, 39, is reportedly interested in being traded to a contender for a chance at a championship. The defenseman is in the last year of his contract and has not said if he will be back next season.

Boston is 19-29-17 and will probably miss the playoffs. The Flyers, who are 34-19-11, improved to second in the Eastern Conference with the victory and could be hoping that Bourque will put them over the top.

Many fans stood and clapped at the end of the game as Bourque skated over to the boards, where referee Terry Gregson handed him the game puck. Bourque declined comment after the game.
