Road Win Streak Ends in Chicago for Ice Dogs
Nick Andersson scored unassisted in the second period to help the Chicago Wolves defeat the Ice Dogs, 5-3, Sunday and stop Long Beach’s six-game road winning streak.
Chicago’s Steve Larouche tied the score, 2-2, with a power-play goal at 4:45 of the second period.
Steve Maltais put the Wolves ahead to stay with a goal at 7:34.
Rod Aldoff, Doug Ast and Allan Egeland scored for the Ice Dogs.
Chicago’s Andrei Trefilov stopped 33 shots for the win.
Nikolai Khabibulin of the Ice Dogs made 35 saves.
