The Swedish American fraternal organization Vasa Order of America, Lodge 719, will hold a hyttsill celebration at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 24231 El Toro Road, Laguna Hills.
The event will include a candlelight dinner with traditional salted herring, salted pork, sausage, baked potatoes, lingonberry preserves and Smaland curd cake with strawberry preserves. There also will be accordion music, singing and storytelling. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children under 13. Reservations are required.
