Sometimes fluffy, sometimes dense, the breakfast pancake’s more flavorful brother is comfort food any time of the day.

* Millie’s: This Silver Lake diner serves giant, puffy pancakes that will keep you sated for days. * Barron’s: It’s worth waiting at this family-run restaurant. You can get strawberry, blueberry, banana, pumpkin, pecan, walnut and chocolate-chip variations on buttermilk pancakes, all served with cinnamon powdered sugar, fresh fruit (if desired) and maple syrup.
