Panel to Discuss Reducing Prejudice

The Anti-Defamation League will hold a panel discussion for Ventura County parents on what to tell children about prejudice and discrimination.

The event will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the lower plaza assembly room of the Ventura County Hall of Administration.

The event is part of the league’s “Eliminate the Hate” program, which aims to reduce hate crimes through anti-bias education. Youth, parents and other community members participate in the program, a collaboration among the Ventura County Probation Department, Colston Youth Center and the Anti-Defamation League.

Panelists will include psychologist Reanne Singer, Ventura High School counselor Linda Holder, Ventura Police Lt. Kenneth Corney and parent Constina Baylor. The panel will be moderated by attorney Julie Saltoun.
