Share

The slow decline in gasoline prices continued for a sixth consecutive week with the average price of self-serve regular gasoline in California falling 2.2 cents a gallon from the week before to $1.674 a gallon, the Energy Information Administration said. The U.S. average price for self-serve regular gasoline dropped nearly 2 cents to $1.42 a gallon, according to the EIA’s weekly survey of 800 gasoline stations. The U.S. average for self-serve regular gasoline has plunged nearly 11 cents a gallon in the last six weeks while the California average has declined nearly 12 cents a gallon during the same period primarily because of lower oil prices.
