THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Monday:

BREA

* Brea Mall: Petty thefts reported at 3:21 p.m. and 3:58 p.m. Saturday, and at 4:47 p.m. Sunday.

* Brea Mall: Embezzlement and grand theft were reported at Nordstrom at 4:40 p.m. Friday.

COSTA MESA

* Bristol Street: Vandalism was reported in the 3000 block at 5:50 p.m. Sunday.

* Santa Ana Avenue: A prowler was reported in the 2000 block at 2:05 a.m. Sunday.

DANA POINT

* Monarch Beach Drive: A Dana Hills High School student was cited on suspicion of possessing marijuana and returned to school at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday.

* Pacific Coast Highway: Three teens were cited on suspicion of violating curfew at Pines Park in the 34000 block at 1 a.m. Wednesday.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Briarwood Street: Lawn tools were reported stolen in the 17500 block at 3:52 p.m. Thursday.

* Santa Rita Street: Tools were reported stolen in the 17100 block at 4:29 p.m. Thursday.

* Talbert Avenue: A car was reported stolen in the 10100 block at 8:56 p.m. Thursday.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Camino Canada: A prowler was reported around a home in the 16400 block at 2:28 a.m. Sunday.

* Oak Lane: A purse was reported stolen from a car in the 17200 block at 8:21 p.m. Saturday

* Third Street at Walnut Avenue: A car was reported stolen at 1:07 a.m. Saturday.

LAGUNA BEACH

* South Coast Highway: A 32-year-old woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant stemming from her alleged failure to appear in court for a citation in the 1900 block at 6:47 p.m. Sunday.

* South Coast Highway: A man was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness after reportedly chasing pedestrians in the 200 block at 8:09 p.m. Sunday.

* Graceland Drive: A woman reported a man who said he was a census employee got upset with her in the 500 block at 3:44 p.m. Sunday. Officers could not locate him.

LA PALMA

* Louise Lane: A man was reported firing a handgun in the backyard of his home in the 8000 block at 5:36 p.m. Sunday.

* Santa Margarita Lane: A suspicious person was reported in the 8200 block at 12:37 a.m. Sunday.

* La Palma Avenue: An auto theft was reported in the 5000 block at 2 a.m. Saturday.

LOS ALAMITOS

* Katella Avenue: Police arrested an elderly man on suspicion of burglary in the 3500 block at 4:49 p.m. Wednesday. He allegedly broke into a glass jewelry case, took a Mickey Mouse watch and fled on foot before being picked up by police.

NEWPORT BEACH

* Domingo Drive: A mountain bike valued at $100 was stolen in the 700 block between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday.

* Newport Center Drive: A cellular phone valued at $200 was stolen in the 1400 block at 2 p.m. Sunday.

ORANGE

* The City Drive South: Vandalism was reported in the 500 block at 10:24 a.m. Friday.

* Equestrian Lane: A burglar alarm was triggered in the 19000 block at 10:18 a.m. Saturday.

SAN CLEMENTE

* Avenida Algadon: A woman reported her car was stolen in the 100 block at noon Friday.

* Avenida del Mar: A man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after he was in a fight in which another man was hit in the face with a glass in the 600 block at 1:50 a.m. Saturday.

TUSTIN

* Brenan Way: A burglary alarm was triggered in the 14000 block at 5:10 p.m. Friday.

* Tustin Pines Way: A suspicious car was reported in the 1000 block at 10:16 p.m. Thursday.

VILLA PARK

* Hunting Circle: A burglar alarm was triggered in the 9000 block at 9:39 a.m. Friday.

* Stratford Circle: A suspicious person was reported in the 18000 block at 3:08 p.m. Friday.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports: Anaheim, Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Irvine, La Habra, La Palma, Placentia, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Westminster and Yorba Linda.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department makes incident reports available on the Web. Go to https://www.ocsd.org and click on “Sheriff’s Blotter.” Incident reports are updated every few minutes and cover the cities of Dana Point, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Stanton and Villa Park, as well as the county’s unincorporated areas.
