Police Seek Help Finding Missing Irvine Teenager
Investigators asked for help in locating a missing Irvine teenager, authorities said Friday.
Brandon Matthew Novoa was last seen about 3 p.m. Wednesday at Woodbridge High School in Irvine, said Police Sgt. Rick Handfield.
Police are investigating reports that the 16-year-old was involved in a fight with one or more teenagers at a park near Springbrook South and East Yale Loop, Handfield said.
Handfield said investigators were concerned because the teenager has not contacted his parents or friends.
“Hopefully, he’ll just call up [his parents],” Handfield said. “The parents are obviously very distraught.”
Novoa is 5-foot-6 and 130 pounds with brown hair.
