Driver Sought After Pickup Hits Boy
Police are searching for the driver of a pickup truck that struck and injured an 11-year-old boy this week, and then fled.
The unidentified boy was riding a bicycle across Ventura Road at the intersection of Clara Street near Port Hueneme Elementary School on Tuesday when he was hit by a truck described as a late-model Ford F-150 driven by a male in his 20s.
The boy suffered a broken bone in his knee, but returned to school this week, authorities said.
An investigation is continuing. Police ask that anyone with information call the Port Hueneme Police Department at 986-6530.
