vs. Kansas City, 7:30

* Site--Rose Bowl.

* Radio--KRLA (1110), KTNQ (1020, Spanish).

* Records--Galaxy 5-0-2, Wizards 6-0-1.

* Record vs. Wizards (1999)--3-1.

* Update--Galaxy captain Robin Fraser believes his team has to be favored tonight, despite some erratic play. “I feel like we’ve gotten off to a good start, as has Kansas City,” he said. “We’ve had some stretches where we’ve played extremely well, and weekends like last weekend where we played pretty poorly but were still able to win [1-0 on the road over the New York/New Jersey MetroStars]. When that happens, you feel like things are going in your favor.” Wizard defender Peter Vermes knows the threat the Galaxy poses. “L.A. is always a formidable opponent,” he said. “They’re a team that is very successful on both sides of the ball. They do a good job of recovering it as well as keeping it, and they find different ways to attack you. The amazing thing with our team is that we’ve come together as quick as we have, but this game will be a huge challenge for us.” Los Angeles leads the all-time regular-season series, 9-7, including a 6-2 mark at the Rose Bowl. Kansas City striker Miklos Molnar will miss the game because of an ankle injury.
