GARDEN GROVE
A retirement party will be held Thursday to honor George Wilson, who has served in the Garden Grove Unified School District for 41 years. The Dana Point resident most recently served as principal at Bolsa Grande and Los Amigos high schools. Wilson began his career as an elementary school teacher in the Alamitos Elementary School District, which was wrapped into the Garden Grove district in the 1960s. The party will be held in the commons at Los Amigos High School, 16566 Newhope St. in Fountain Valley from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Information: (714) 663-6420.
