The Docent Guild of the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace has announced the recipients of $250 scholarships awarded this year for outstanding academic performance and extracurricular achievement.
The recipients were Emily Thompson of El Dorado High School, who plans to attend Westmont College in Santa Barbara and become a teacher; David Chang of Esperanza High School, who scored 1580 on his SAT and will major in business at the University of Pennsylvania; and Brian Diaz of Valencia High School, a straight-A student who plans to study environmental science at a UC campus.
