* Music Contest--Eleven finalists of the 52nd annual Artists of the Future competition for young classical singers will perform Saturday at the Madrid Theatre in Canoga Park. The competition is open to young singers, women 16 to 22 and men 17 to 23, who are not professionals. Winners receive cash prizes--$2,000 for first place, $1,500 second and $1,000 third. * Fantasy Fare--Dragonvale, a medieval fantasy festival, will be held this weekend at Cal State Northridge. The event will showcase would-be wizards, warriors, jesters, jugglers, sword-swallowers and other feudal fare. * Musical Theater--Mitchell Uscher and Roy Singer’s new musical “Mamaleh!” will play this weekend at the Performing Arts Center at Cal State Northridge. * Music Alfresco--Arthur B. Rubinstein will lead the Symphony in the Glen on Sunday at 3 p.m. in Griffith Park. The program will feature Mozart’s Overture to “The Marriage of Figaro,” Schubert’s Symphony No. 8 and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5. Symphony in the Glen, a nonprofit organization, offers free outdoor concerts for adults and children.
