Young Reader Gives Page the Thumbs-Up

My name is Steve, I am a fourth-grader at Laurel Elementary School in Brea, and I am 9 years old. This year we have an after-school program with senior citizens. They listen to us read (one on one) from library books and from the L.A. Times. One of us reads aloud to one of them for one hour. When we finish the library book, we may read from the five parts of a story from The Times. The entire senior men and women are very nice to us. They come every Tuesday and Thursday, and sometimes they bring us candy. We want to thank you for the stories in Southern California Living’s kids’ page.
