Cal State Fullerton (45-13) scored a 2-1 victory over Texas (29-26-1) at Fresno. With runners on first and second with two out in the bottom of the seventh, the Titans’ Amanda Hockett drilled a line drive to right. Texas right fielder Audrey Hendricks made a perfect throw to the plate, but Jessica Maloney slid and knocked the ball away from catcher Marlo Hanks, scoring the winning run. The second-seeded Titans will play California tonight.

Arkansas (43-29) bunched four of its eight hits in a decisive fourth inning to break open a close game and defeat Cal State Northridge, 5-0, at Norman, Okla. Northridge (26-25-1) must beat top-seeded Oklahoma (59-8) today to stay alive.
