Tonight
at San Jose
Fox Sports Net 2, 7:30
* Radio--KMPC (1540).
* Records--Avengers 0-6, SaberCats 4-2.
* Update--The SaberCats, tied for second in the Western Division and riding a three-game winning streak, have been energized by the acquisition of Barry Wagner, who began the season as the Arena Football League’s all-time leading scorer. But Wagner, who needs two more catches to become the league’s all-time leading receiver as well, has made a bigger impression defensively, his six forced fumbles are already a San Jose season record. The Avenger roster has undergone another tweaking. Waived this week were fullback/linebacker Terrance Petty and lineman Bruce Walker. They were replaced by fullback/linebacker Brian Easter and defensive specialist Kevin Cobb. In addition, the Avengers put defensive specialist Ken Haslip on injured reserve.
