United Methodist Holiday Boutique

* The Women’s Ministries at United Methodist Church of Westlake Village will hold a holiday boutique Sunday from 9 a.m.-noon.

A variety of handcrafted items will be for sale, including gifts, decorations and baked goods.

Participants include Alternative Christmas Gift Market, benefiting children and adults locally and abroad; Heifer Project International, which sends food-producing animals and poultry to needy families; Church World Service’s blanket program, which provides blankets to people affected by disaster; Many Mansions, which sponsors affordable housing for low-income families; Meals on Wheels, which supplies hot and cold meals to house-bound individuals.

St. Rose of Lima Christmas Crafts

* St. Rose of Lima will hold its annual Christmas boutique this weekend at the parish hall. All proceeds benefit the church’s school. There will be handcrafted gifts, decorations, ornaments, religious items and more. Hours are today, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free.

St. Matthew’s Veterans Day Service

*St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church in Newbury Park will hold special Veterans Day worship services at 8:30 and 10 a.m. Sunday. World War II veteran and D-Day survivor Jack Wilson will share his memories and accounts from his military experiences.

St. Columba’s Hosts Vocal Concert

Service Will Honor the Deceased

*Moorpark United Methodist Church will hold its All Saints’ Day service Sunday at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Rick Uhls will preach as the congregation celebrates the lives of members, friends and family who have died in the past year. The service will include music performed by the Sweetest Dixieland Band. A meal will be served following the service.

Handicapables Host Special Day

‘Calvary Connects’ Replaces Service

*Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village will cancel its regular Sunday worship service this week to hold the one-time event “Calvary Connects.” Church members and attendees will gather in more than 200 neighborhood homes. The event is to help members of the congregation get to know other members who live near them.

Election Day Is Theme of Service
