Memorial Slated for Race Announcer
Memorial services will be held Thursday for longtime Mission Viejo resident and TNN Motorsports announcer Steve Evans at the Pomona Fairplex after the National Hot Rod Assn. Auto Club Finals.
Evans, 58, died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Sandy, and three children, Cameron Evans of Newport Beach, Steve Justice of Costa Mesa and Tiffany Evans of Downey.
The memorial will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Racers for Christ tent in the Corporate Hospitality Village. Donations to a memorial fund in Evans’ memory can be sent to: Steve Evans Memorial Fund, 27422 Via Garcia, Mission Viejo, CA 92692.
