To encourage land owners to improve their property, city officials have teamed up with the Chamber of Commerce to create the “Beautification Award” program.
The program will take nominations from businesses, organizations or individuals and reward homes or businesses for making improvements in their properties. The improvements can range from landscaping to changes in a building’s structure. Members of a Beautification Committee will visit nominees before deciding on a winner. The committee meets at 3 p.m. every third Thursday of the month at City Hall, 201 E. La Habra Blvd.
The awards will be given monthly at a City Council session. All those interested in making a nomination can call Maritza Sanchez at (562) 905-9703 or do it through the city Web site at https://www.lahabra.org.
