2 Men Found Dead After 911 Call Made
Two men were left dead in an apparent murder-suicide in Sylmar on Monday morning.
A man called 911 and, gasping over the phone, told a dispatcher he could not breathe, police said. When an emergency medical team arrived at the home on Bromont Avenue, they found two men with gunshot wounds in the head, said Det. Frank Bishop of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division.
Bishop said both men were in their 20s but did not know whether they were related. The house was locked when the emergency crew arrived, indicating no burglary or attempted robbery had taken place, he added.
The men were taken to area hospitals, where each was later pronounced dead, Bishop said.
Det. Ray Broker said, “There does not appear to be any crime other than a sudden confrontation that resulted in both of the men’s deaths.”
The names of the victims were not released, pending notification of their families, Broker said.
