WESTMINSTER
Westminster High School senior Hai Nguyen will compete for a finalist position in the National Merit Scholarship program, which had 16,000 students in the semifinalist category.
Linh T. Ausman, Elizabeth A. Miller and Dung H. Nguyen, all Westminster High seniors, also were recognized as Commended Students by the National Merit Scholarship Corp. for their academic promise demonstrated by outstanding performances on the qualifying test.
A total of 1.2 million students from more than 20,000 high schools nationwide participated in the program.
