Tests on Toronto’s Mats Sundin showed he sustained no fractures when he was struck in the forehead by a puck in a game Saturday against Chicago. He is listed as day-to-day. . . . Colorado Avalanche center Peter Forsberg is out indefinitely with a rib injury. Team trainer Pat Karns said that Forsberg will undergo medical tests later this week. . . . Right wing John MacLean was waived by the New York Rangers after being a healthy scratch for 14 of the team’s 16 games this season.
