Penthouse Will Offer a Roomy Lair for This Titan
John Barrowman, who plays the nefarious son Peter Williams in Aaron Spelling’s new NBC drama series “Titans,” has purchased a West Hollywood penthouse for just under $400,000.
Barrowman, 32, owns two houses in London.
Before “Titans,” Barrowman was best known to American TV audiences for his portrayal of Peter Fairchild in the series “Central Park West.” The lyric baritone appeared on Broadway with Carol Burnett and Kathie Lee Gifford in Stephen Sondheim’s “Putting It Together,” and made his Broadway debut as Joe Gillis in “Sunset Boulevard,” opposite Betty Buckley.
Barrowman was born in Scotland but moved to Illinois when he was 8. He relocated to England as a young adult to study theater and soon co-starred there in the revival of “Anything Goes.” He played the Beast in Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” and Raoul in “The Phantom of the Opera.”
His penthouse has a loft, living room with 18-foot ceilings and city views. The building has a pool, sauna and spa.

Byron Allen, the comedian who co-hosted “Real People” and his own show before managing his own production company, is in escrow to buy a Bel-Air home at about $4.8 million.
Allen, 39, is buying a Tuscan-style home, built in 1998, with six bedrooms in 9,000 square feet. The property also has a grassy yard, pool and pastoral views.
Allen has produced such recent TV specials as “The Masters of Figure Skating,” “The Latin DanceSport Championship” and “Target Stars on Ice.” He also produced, directed and hosted the syndicated series “Entertainers With Byron Allen” (1994-98).
Warner Bros. International TV Distribution acquired foreign TV rights in September to more than 600 hours of celebrity interviews from Allen’s entertainment network and superstore, EntertainmentStudios.com, which produces and distributes seven hours of first-run programming statewide each week.
Joe Babajian and Kyle Grasso of Fred Sands Estates, Beverly Hills, have the listing, other sources said.

Voice-over actor Jonathan Cook has purchased a 4,600-square-foot, high-tech modern home in the Hollywood Hills for about $1.6 million.
Cook, 29, might be called a Voice of the WB Network, having done voice-overs for such shows as “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Angel,” “Charmed” and “Roswell.”
His new home, built in 1979 but recently remodeled, has four bedrooms, a solarium and views from downtown L.A. to the ocean.
Cook was represented in his purchase by Donna Rothschild of Re/Max Center in Encino and Estelle King of Coldwell Banker, Studio City.
